PawTrack ("we", "us") provides daycare and boarding staff with tools to schedule pets, track walks, and share report cards with pet parents. This policy explains what information we collect through the PawTrack app and website, and how it's used.

Information we collect

  • Account information — your name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash, never in plain text) when you register.
  • Pet information — names, breeds, photos, and care notes for the pets you manage, entered by facility staff.
  • Photos and videos — media staff choose to attach to a pet's report card during a visit.
  • Location data — GPS coordinates collected only while you're actively recording a walk in the app, used to show the route, distance, and pace on that walk's report card. Location is never collected when you're not actively tracking a walk, and never collected in the background.
  • Schedule and activity data — check-in and check-out times, and the daily activity log entries staff record (naps, meals, potty breaks, and similar).

How we use this information

We use the information above only to operate the app's core features:

  • Creating and displaying schedules, report cards, and activity logs.
  • Showing a live walk's route, distance, and pace, including on the Lock Screen.
  • Generating a shareable report card link for pet parents to view.
  • Signing you in and keeping your account secure.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising or third-party tracking.

Where your data is stored

Account and app data is stored in a managed Postgres database. Photos and videos are stored using Amazon S3. Both are accessed only by the PawTrack backend to serve the app's features.

Sharing

A report card is only visible outside your facility's staff accounts once it's explicitly published — publishing creates a link that can be shared with that pet's parent. We don't share your data with any other third party except the infrastructure providers (database and file storage) needed to run the app.

Your choices

  • You can edit your name, email, and password at any time from Settings.
  • You can delete your account from Settings → Delete Account. This is a permanent action — your account can no longer be used to sign in once deleted.
  • Location access can be turned off at any time in your device's system settings — the app just won't be able to track a walk's route until it's turned back on.
